1st  MEMORIAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT ” TEO BARRIO “  HELD AT BEL-AIR TENNIS CLUB

On Wednesday, 4th  April the 1st edition of the prestigious 1st Memorial Tennis Tournament “Teo Barrio” was concluded.

Due to the rain over the weekend the finals had be postponed till the following Wednesday.

D. Teo Barrio, founder of TC Bel-Air in 1974 would be proud of the high level shown by the all the participants.

In the open category the champion was Emilio Alvarez (one of the best tennis player in Málaga) and ex number 80 at ATP; who bet David del Rio, Spanish champion under 12 and under 16 and currently under one of the 4 best Spanish Juniors, by  6/7, 7/6 y 7/5 after a 4 hours exciting match which was very entertaining for the 100 people watching.

The rest of the finals were:

- Cadete Masculino: 1 Pedro Cobos and 2 Enrique Moreno

- Infantil Masculino: 1 Egor Lisitsyn and 2 Matías Suiffet

- Alevin Masculino: 1 Daniel Salazar and 2 José A. Arcos

- Alevin Femenino: 1 Loreto Villalba and 2 Lola Moreno

- Benjamin Masculino: 1 Alejamdro Turriziani and 2 David Salazar

From 2nd till 6th April 2012  the Bel-Air EASTER TENNIS CAMP will be held at Bel-Air Tennis Club in Estepona, Marbella (Costa del Sol).

From 27th Feb. – 2nd March the Half Term Tennis Camp will be held at Bel-Air Tennis Club in Estepona, Marbella

If you want to improve your tennis level or just want to spend a great day with your friends come and join our tennis camp.

From 29th June till 1st July the Torneo de Verano will be held at Tennis and Padel Club Bel-Air in Estepona, Marbella (Spain)

I Bel-Air Doubles League starts on 1st March 2012  at Tennis and Padel Club Bel-Air in Estepona, Marbella (Spain)

The League starts on 1st March…but you can join in any time!  If you are interested please contact us on: 952 883 221.

•    Each phase will last one month. Each pair must play against all the pairs in their groups. We will provide a contact list of all your opponents so that you can contact each other at the beginning of each month to organize your schedule for the matches in advance. A captain will be named within each pair who will be in charge of organizing the matches.
•         Starting date: 1st March 2012.
•    Inscription fee: 20€/person, including a T-Shirt + Barbecue, which will be held at the league final in June.
•    Court Source: The matches will be played on clay court unless all 4 players decide on playing on hard court.
•    The score: The matches are played up to two sets with tie break. If you win a set you score 10 points and if you lose a set you score one point for each game you won against your opponent … every game is important! Example: if you have lost 6-3 you get 3 points and your opponent gets 10 points. For this league we only count 2 sets for each match.
•    After the game the players will give the result to reception… with any other notification or query the player may have.
•    Ranking: At the end of each phase we will count all the points and the two pairs with the best scores from each group will go up one category and the two pairs with the lowest scores will go down.
•    The fee per match is 8€ per person for non-members and 2€ for members. The court reservation is for 2 hours.
•    Tennis balls are not included but you can rent a new tube of balls for 1.5 € / person or hire a tube of used balls for 0.50 € / person.

Bel Air Tennis and Padel Club 2nd Edition SINGLE LEAGUE starting Nov 10

Dear friends,

Our 2nd edition of the Single League started on 1st November 2011 and will last till June 2012… but you can join in any time!

The goal is to play good matches, but in an organized manner.

There will be groups of 4 -5 players… at the end of each month the 2 best in each group will go up and the 2 worst will go down … and so on during each month.

Commit to this league means playing 3 or 4 matches up to 2 sets per month (minimum 1.5 hours per match). The league ends in June.

The initial enrollment fee is 20€ per player (includes dinner at the finals and a T-Shirt). Then each player will have to pay their share for the court, plus 1€ / player for renting 2nd used balls (in good conditions), this would be OPTIONAL.

The court fee for 1.5 h / player varies according to the method of payment: pre-paid (4 €), voucher of 10 matches (7 €), normal rate (9 €).

We will provide a flexible match calendar for players to organize their matches.
